Timberlab x Sukkhacitta

A Story of Collaboration

Rumah Sukkha Citta at ASHTA District 8 aims to tell the story of how sustainable clothing meets sustainable construction, bringing together shared values of craftsmanship, responsible material use, and environmental consciousness within a single space.

SukkhaCitta envisioned a space that transcends as both a story of heritage and modernity. Designed by AGo Architects, this vision translates to an intimate retail experience rooted in responsibly produced natural materials. Sharing the same commitment to green and sustainable practice, Timberlab constructed Rumah Sukkha Citta using glulam, a renewable, bio-based material, that was brought to ASHTA District 8 as prefabricated parts. This convenience shortens the installation time to just a week, making the construction both effective and efficient. What was once a concept and timber offcuts now stands as a flagship store that extends carbon storage and reinforces the long-term value of timber as a sustainable material.

serving timber beyond aesthetic

Build with Timber

We view timber beyond its aesthetic value, recognizing it as a renewable, bio-based material with inherent structural performance and a critical role in shaping a more sustainable built environment while supporting a more resource-efficient construction process. See how we combine technical expertise, local materials, and sustainable design to bring this vision to life.

Reticulated Timber Tectonics

Working closely with Dani Hermawan from Formologix Lab, Timberlab supported the realization of the hackathon booth through an integrated of computational design, parametric design, and construction delivery, demonstrating the precision, modularity, and architectural flexibility of glulam.

Dwitya Saka

Designed by Timberlab in-house architectural designer, Dwitya Saka redefined saka guru with two columns reinterpreted as a forest. The installation references ancestral wisdom while expressing a contemporary architectural language through sustainable engineered timber.

Tangkup Pavilion

A Timberlab collaboration with Trianzani Sulshi of Studio Aliri features a villa topology made of glulam, with a notable 11-meter beam, finished in rustic dark brown. This pavilion demonstrates how engineered timber serves not just as a structural element but as part of a cohesive design system.

OTI Signature Kedungmundu

OTI Signature Kedungmundu is Timberlab’s first locally built mass timber project, developed in collaboration with Buana Triarta. Fabricated, built, and managed independently, this project marks a shift in construction material from solid timber to a fully integrated engineered timber ecosystem.
